Revit achieved this years ago, and their design and modeling software use only a single. Also, I'm open to the idea of a desktop if it means it's significantly cheaper, but only if it's ready to use straight out of the box. Any suggestions? PS: I'm not super tech-savvy at all, I only understand the basics. Revit, in particular, requires a high spec from a laptop, and you NEED to have a sound graphics card to run it properly. Just something I can use so that I don't have to avoid the hassle of restarting my computer everytime I need to run a different OS, and of having two slow systems. The reason for that is that this will not be my main laptop and I don't expect it to be this hardcore rendering machine. Now here's the catch: I'd like to get away with the least expensive PC I can find that will run the software appropriately, preferably sticking to my under 1k budget (I am a broke student after all). So I've figured that I might be better off by purchasing a PC that I can dedicate solely for Revit and other Autodesk software to complement my Mac. As a Macbook pro user, I've been making do with my Bootcamp partition for other PC-only pieces of software, but my laptop is old (mid-2009) and quickly running out of memory. I'm a grad student and I'll be taking a Revit class this semester. Hi everyone! I'm posting here because I'm a little desperate.
